The proceeds of the 2000 carnival were presented to the beneficiaries in a ceremony held in the Reading Room on Tuesday 5th December 2000.

The main beneficiaries of this year's carnival were; Brackley Cottage Hospital, £800, the Reading Room, £850, the Sports Club, £850, Helmdon School, £250, and Helmdon Acorns, £150. The five groups shared a total amount of £2,900.
