Course Title Behind the News
Tutor - Martin Bloxsom
Current issues are always interesting, but what is behind them and why? Largely class based and developed, we look at current events in the news at the time the course is run. It wil include up-to-the-minute important events as well as issues which continue in the public domain such as fox hunting, the cult of "so-called" celebrity and so on. This will be very much a student developed course.

1½ hours each session. 10 sessions,
with half-term (no session) on 16th February 2010 |

Between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. at first (or second)
session. |
| Full fee: |
£43.50 (payable on second week). |
| Reduced fee: |
£39.15 for those receiving a range of benefits
/ allowances. |
| No fee: |
16-18 yrs old, or for those receiving Jobseeker's
allowance or certain other benefits. Please ask for a full list. |
| Additional financial support: |
You may qualify for further help with fees and
other expenses if gross annual household income less than £15,276
(figure subject to change). |
