Annual Parish Meeting |

The open meeting is for the parish and it is not, as some people believe, a parish council meeting. Traditionally the meeting is organised by the parish council and, if present, chaired by the parish council chairman, but no council business is conducted. Rather it is an opportunity for the community to come together, in a formal setting, and talk about what they like. The format for the last few years has been to have a key speaker, followed by five-minute presentations from some of the many groups and organisations in the village. The meeting has also traditionally received reports from the District and County Councillors and the police. Annual Parish Meeting Reports:
