Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on
Wednesday, 23rd April 2001
in the Reading Room, Helmdon.
Present.
Cllrs Glassett (Chair) Bearman, Brookhouse, Burns, England,
Gittens, Harrold and Spendlove.
32 Members of the Public.
District Councillor Robin Digby and Community Beat Officer Fred
Dawling.
Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr Ayres and County Councillor
Ben Smith.
Cllr Glassett welcomed everybody to the meeting, encouraged to
see such a high
turnout of village residents. It was explained that any issues
raised at the meeting
could not be voted on but would be considered by the Parish Council
at a later date.
The minutes of the Previous Annual Parish meeting were read and
signed.
Sue Lidgely asked if there were any further developments concerning
Central
Railways. Cllr Digby commented that he would be touching on the
issue in his report and Cllr Glassett said that there were no
firm proposals being considered by the Parish Council.
Cllr Digby reported that it was now two years since he had been
elected as District Councillor
