Please think before you park!

Helmdon Parish Council and Northants Police would draw to your attention the fact that it is an offence to cause an unnecessary obstruction of a road (a footpath or pavement is classed as part of the road). Parking irresponsibly may force pedestrians, pushchairs, wheelchairs and dogs out on to the road. To highlight the issue, cards will be left on the windscreens of cars causing an obstruction (see example below). We ask for your cooperation in this matter to make our village safe for everyone.
