There was a serious distraction burglary

Committed this morning (9th December) at a sheltered bungalow in Hackleton.  The offenders posed as Council staff saying they were there to mend the fence.

Please warn elderly residents and family members about this.

The elderly lady was assaulted, her telephone ripped from the wall and personal alarm pendant taken.  The offenders ransacked the house.  The police have advised that these offenders are very dangerous and if anyone is approached please let the police  know immediately. 

Do not allow entry to the premises.
