1. Each year the Council's accounts are audited and any person interested has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them. For the year ended 31 March 2001 these documents will be available on application to:

between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays) commencing on 19th April 2002 and ending on 11th May 2002

2. Local Government Electors and their representatives also have:

(i) the opportunity to question the auditor about the accounts. The auditor will be at the Council Offices, Towcester for this purpose on 13th May 2002 at 9.15am after that date will be available at the Stevenage office until the audit has been completed.
(ii) the right to attend before the auditor and make objections to the accounts or any item in them. Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the Council.

3. The audit is being carried out by Simon Cookson, District Auditor, 1st and 2nd Floors, Sheffield House, Lytton Way,Off Gates Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 3HB and will be conducted under the provisions of the Local Government Finance Act 1982 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 1996.
