Carnival
More attractions have been added to the programme for this
year's Helmdon Carnival in August.
The carnival is to take place as other years over the August
Bank holiday with the theme of Old School Days.
Attractions are to include majorettes, morris men and the
air force cadets band for the procession and to perform
in the main ring.
Also, there has been a mail shot to Brackley businesses
asking for raffle prizes.
Jeff's coaches have donated a weekend for two in Paris,
and the Crown Hotel in Brackley have offered Sunday lunch
for two, with other prizes donated from Daytona, Northampton
Town Football Club, The Saints Rugby Club and Bath Racecourse.
Live music will be provided by Accrington Stanley for the
Saturday night entertainment, and a disco is planned for
the kids.
There has been lots of interest in craft stalls for the
day.
The main beneficiary of the event is to be Brackley Cottage
Hospital.
