School Art Exhibition
A two-day exhibition of art work by children at Helmdon Primary
School attracted rave reviews from visitors.
All 135 pupils took part and recreated some of the work of
different artists they had studied in class, using a variety
of material including papier mache.
The artists whose work they recreated included the French
painter Henri Matisse and British sculptor Anthony Gormley.
"It's amazing what the children created," said school
bursar Judith Wait.
Visitors to the exhibition called it an "overwhelming
display", "inspirational and very creative".
The exhibition was put together with the help of all the teachers
and co-ordinated by art teacher Celia Edmondson.
