Floods Chaos

Sally Phillips, Helmdon resident and landlady of the village's Bell pub, said "We had our cellar flooded. There was rather a lot of water in Station Road and where the Green is. We have got a bench there and the water came up to the level of the seat.

Her home was also affected along with about four others, despite sandbags being put outside.

She said the pub needed a new cooler and her hall carpet at home needed replacing.
