Syresham is the best village in Northamptonshire – and that’s official. 

At a ceremony last Tuesday, the village was crowned Northamptonshire Village of the Year and will now go through to the Village of the Year for England competition later this year. The runner-up in the competition was Middleton Cheyney while Helmdon came third.

Syresham also came top in the medium village category, with Helmdon coming second.  In the largest villages category, Silverstone was highly commended.

Competition organizer, Robert Herring, said: "We wish Syresham the best of luck in the Calor Village of the Year for England competition.

Syresham is an outstanding community and did exceptionally well in the county competition.”
