A 29 year old Litchborough man was killed when the tractor
he was driving plunged through a bridge parapet and plummeted
15 feet onto a disused railway line.
The accident happened on the B525 Brackley to Helmdon Road
last Friday morning.
The tractor landed upside down, trapping Michael Blowers.
Firefighters arrived on the scene with specialist cutting
equipment, but Mr Blowers was certified dead at the scene.
It is thought that he may have lost control of the tractor
on a right hand bend.
A crane had to be brought to the scene to remove the tractor
from the railway line.
The road was closed to traffic for several hours while the
safety of the bridge was checked.
