Top Award For Jeffs
A family-run coach firm company has driven
off from a glitzy award ceremony with a top national award.
Jeffs Coaches, which is based in Helmdon,
scooped the prestigious Best UK Coach Operator for European/International
Tours gong at the Group Leisure awards ceremony at the Sheraton
Hotel in London.
The ceremony is the premiere event for
UK tour operators and the honour bestowed on Jeffs Coaches
was particularly appreciated as the company was nominated
by its customers.
Company Chairman Ken Jeffs said: "We would
like to thank all the group organisations who voted for
us.
"We were extremely surprised and honoured
to not only to be nominated for, but win this award.
"We can assure everyone that we will continue
to strive to provide the standards of service that we know
make group tours a success.
"This award is a tribute to the whole company
and its employees, as we recognise that everyone contributes
to our success.
"We are particularly honoured because this
award was voted for by our customers and we value their
opinion above all".
Jeffs Coaches was founded nearly 50 years
ago by Jack Jeffs and remains in the ownership of the Jeffs
Family. Originally a one-coach business, the firm now operates
a fleet of more than 80 vehicles from five depots across
central England and a travel shop in Parsons Street, Banbury.
However, the business is still based at
its original site in Helmdon and despite its growth retains
a strong family feel.
The company offers a full range of services
from short distance school runs to long distance European
tours, private hire work, local authority services and group
travel packages.
The new century promises even more opportunity
for growth, with the appointment of a dedicated IT manager
and an ongoing programme of vehicle replacement. By embracing
state-of-the-art technology and taking advantage of e-commerce
opportunities, the company hopes to be meeting the demands
of the modern world well into the new Millennium.
