School Gets Top Marks

Helmdon Primary School has had a successful recent report by education inspectors Ofsted.

The 124-pupil school achieves well above average standards in English, maths and science, and pupils are taught well, says the report.

Inspectors say pupils enjoy going to school, are interested in their work and try hard; behaviour is good and attendance is above the national average.

Improvements suggested include standards of work and progress made by pupils at foundation stage and better communication with parents to respond to their views and concerns.
