OUTDOOR PLAY
Due to the location of the Reading Room we do not have an outdoor
play area for Acorns. As a result in early 2004 Acorns was awarded
a significant grant to develop an alternative site, the allotment.
This has been going from strength to strength over the past 2 years
and now has a shed to house the equipment and has been fenced in.
The children have grown a variety of produce over the past year which
they can then take home to eat.
ACTIVITIES
Over the past year the pre-school has held a Halloween messy morning, Easter Duck Hunt that involved the whole village, a trip to the Eco Park at Milton Keynes (click for picture),
Christmas concert and a sports day. All these events allow parents and carers
to take part in activities with their children. In addition parents
are able to attend pre-school sessions as a parent-helper, an excellent
way for children and their parents to interact in a new environment.
