Helmdon Blackpits Recycling Centre Monitoring Group

The Blackpits Monitoring Group was set up to discuss the issues surrounding the Recycle Centre, and listen to the Helmdon and Falcutt villagers' concerns. We also provide guidance to the Parish Council, and seek support from the County Council as required.

There are eight members of the Monitoring Group and we also invite along the two owners, Doug and Mervyn Humphrey. From the Monitoring Group the Chairman and two members will become part of the Liaison Committee with the Environment Agency, South Northants Council (SNC) and the owners.

The aim is to work with the owners of the site, the Environment Agency, and SNC to minimise any impact the centre has on both the environment, and the villagers of Helmdon and Falcutt. This is not meant to be a confrontational forum, but one set up to positively work to resolve issues for the benefit of the communities of Helmdon & Falcutt.

The Monitoring Group offers a single focal point in the village that residents can contact when they experience a problem that they believe is caused by the Blackpits Recycle Centre. Any issues raised by residents will be taken up with the owners as soon as possible. The sooner we hear of the problem the sooner we can relate to an operational problem. We have the total co-operation of the owners in this looking at issues as soon as they are raised.

Please contact the chair of the Monitoring Group in the first instance.
