One recent project has been the improvement of the network of paths to the east of Church Street, where material generated by the resurfacing of village roads has been recycled to treat previously muddy and rutted areas. Our efforts here have been greatly augmented by generous assistance from the landowners who have undertaken much clearance themselves and by Northamptonshire County Council who have both supplied and installed two new gates and a new bridge. The improved access resulting from the work completed has allowed the path up to the church to be added to Northampton County Council’s mowing programme which, in turn, will help to ensure that it remains easily passable. In 2006 the group completed a major project to produce a parish map, combining aerial photography and OS data.
